This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in which you can work part-time at the Company location identified above and part-time remotely from your home.

 

Position Objective

The Electrical Engineer will support multiple water treatment system projects in North America with a significant focus on aftermarket projects completing all electrical requirements, documents, and drawings specific to each project within the time frame expected. The Electrical Engineer will need to work collaboratively with cross functional project teams to ensure complete understanding of project specific requirements and deliverables.     

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop, analyze, and implement innovative, cost effective project custom design solutions for Pall Water filtration and water treatment equipment.

  • Carry out assignments of substantial variety and/or complexity requiring a sound understanding of related engineering or scientific theory, principles and practices (Instrumentation, Power distribution, signals and networks, control cabinets, cabling)

  • Produce / review high quality project custom designs including drawings & documentation to meet customer´s expectation within project´s specification, budget and timing as per contract and project schedule.

  • Create electrical Computer Aided Design (CAD) models, wiring diagrams and drawings, Piping & Instrumentation-Diagrams (PID) drawings.

  • Create manufacturing and installation specifications for the equipment and its field installation and for use on products installed in Municipal and Industrial water treatment facilities.

  • Execute design according to the related and applicable Engineering Standards and Safety Regulations

  • Working and communicating with the customers to align and clearly define project expectations.

  • Provide technical support to Sales team and Review of Project contract specifications and act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience; provide informal guidance and support to more junior team members.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree with a minimum of 7 years of professional electrical engineering experience

  • 7 years of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical software experience required

  • Experience in water treatment Industries, SAP, CE, IEC standards and Autodesk, is preferred

  • Knowledge of International Electrical Standards IEC-61439, IEC-60204-1, AS/NZS 3000:2018, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, CSA.

  • Knowledge of various communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profinet and Profibus, is preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, International Travel, primarily within North America. Must have no legal restrictions to travel between US and Canada.
