As an SAP Specialist with London Hydro, you will work alongside other team members as the SAP BASIS Administrator. As such, you should be familiar with SAP Solution Manager 7.2 and the following BASIS activities: SAP performance tuning, configuration, monitoring and administration, SAP Change Management, SAP’s Service Marketplace, SAP User and Role Administration. You will actively participate and contribute to the ongoing SAP S4 Hana ISU & Customer Engagement Green Field implementation.

 

JOB DUTIES

Your responsibilities as an SAP Specialist will also include:

  • Configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system.
  • User’s role and authorization management.
  • You will be administrating the SAP batch jobs using the Run My Job batch scheduler.
  • Mentor and train other team members while documenting the standards and processes needed for existing SAP systems as well as the S4 Hana ISU & Customer Engagement System under implementation.
  • Collaborate with other teams such as Database, Infrastructure for trouble shooting existing SAP systems as well as related to the new systems set up such as back up, refresh, setting up new instances, performance issue etc.
  • Actively participate in the SAP S4 Hana greenfield project implementation by working alongside internal London Hydro team as well as System integrators.
  • Working with onsite and offshore resources, as well as coordinating and executing daily production support.
  • Adhering to all Occupational Health and Safety Act rules and regulations, the IHSA's Electrical Utility Safety Rules, London Hydro safe work practices and procedures, and all components of London Hydro's health and safety program

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Along with a university degree in a relevant discipline and 5 years SAP BASIS, ABAP and PI/PO development experience, you should have or demonstrated the ability to:

  • Administer a broad set of SAP products including ECC, S4 HANA, SAP PO and SAP CRM, S4 Hana Customer Engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience of performing SAP BASIS related activities for S4 Hana from sizing to environment design, install and go live.
  • Experience with S4 Hana on premise product with infrastructure on the cloud.
  • Setting up archival solution using SAP configuration.
  • Database administration.
  • PI/PO and ABAP skills will be a plus.
  • Experience with SAP Redwood or similar batch job scheduler using CPS.
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies to solving business problems
