Description

Info-Tech Research Group is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual experienced with Technical Networking & Infrastructure to join our Consulting team. In this role you’ll be working across multiple projects assessing infrastructure, developing future state technology roadmaps, and IT disaster recovery strategies with key clients.

The Senior Consultant will support a growing team that regularly interacts and advises executive leaders, CIO’s and IT business leaders. The ideal candidate will be self-starter able to work independently, and also be comfortable working in a team environment.  You will demonstrate the ability to work on complex projects that require a mix of interpersonal, technical and analytical skills. Strategy development requires individuals that can think through problems and visualize solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Analysis: Support efforts of consulting project leaders in reviewing our customers technical documentation, including (but not limited to) network topology, IT asset lists, application inventory, and providing analysis as required. Help identify priorities for action planning based on Info-Tech’s research and bespoke project findings.
  • Conduct Research and Analysis activities: Analyze quantitative and qualitative data from multiple points of input (market research, interviews, surveys, etc.), identify patterns and trends, write reports/creates presentations of the overall themes and insights to deliver to the customer.
  • Results Debrief: Debrief clients, including IT leadership and executive leadership teams on results, including explaining survey methodology, report findings, and sharing key trends and insights.
  • Project Delivery: Work in partnership with a Project Lead to scope the proposed project work, including but not limited to developing the project plan and schedule, understanding client needs and goals, designing and executing the project plan to achieve outcomes, crafting deliverables and actively identifying additional opportunities.

Education and/or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in information technology
  • 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of servers, communications equipment, and operating systems
  • Ability to assess and document network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers.
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
  • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation.
  • Network security experience.
  • LAN and WAN experience.
  • CCIE (Cisco)
  • CCNP (Cisco)
  • JNCIE-ENT (Juniper)
  • Network+ (CompTIA)

Skills:

  • Relationship Management: Applies academic/work experience, knowledge, and Info-Tech’s research to a client’s issue or question to provide meaningful insight to the client.
  • Analytical: Identifies trends in quantitative and qualitative data and links it to the project needs and desired outcomes. Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
  • Organization and Attention to Detail: Supports the implementation of complex projects. Effectively prioritizes client needs.
  • Verbal and Written Communication: Effective in communicating how we can meet client needs while managing expectations. Expected to explain results and complex concepts in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in written format.
  • Presentation and Facilitation: Presents survey results to senior leadership teams and employee groups and supports facilitation of focus groups at client site.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Works with other members of the Consulting team and Info-Tech Research to balance workloads and share ideas/learning experiences.

Additional Comments:
Willingness and ability to travel (up to 30%) which may require being at a client site up to 5 days in one week and may occasionally require travel on weekends.
Must be eligible to obtain a TN1 Visa to work in the USA when needed.
