Job Salary: $57,000 - $95,000

Reports to: Manager, Proposal Development

Department/Unit name: Business Development 



Under the guidance and direction of the Manager, Proposal Development, the Lead Generation Specialist will be responsible for the prospecting of new clients for the Business Development team. The Lead Generation Specialist will be responsible for researching potential leads and making outbounds calls to meet business development plans, quotas and Alimentiv’s objectives. This role will take ownership of generating new leads for Business Development Managers and aim to maximize the potential from each call with a defined strategic plan, an excellent telephone manner and upbeat outlook. Under the direction of the Manager, Proposal Development and the VP, Business Development, the lead generator will contribute to and deliver an innovative lead generation program to drive qualified leads into the sales pipeline.



Lead Management:

  • Manage, nurture, and convert leads into sales opportunities for the Business Development Managers.
  • Identify strong potential prospects using in- house tools, web searches, initiative, and creativity
  • Provide engaging and articulate information about Alimentiv’s product lines and Therapeutic expertise to potential prospective clients
  • Maintain up-to-date, organized, and accurate sales information and activity in company CRM system
  • Responsible for generating leads through making outbound calls daily, social media and email to generate new business
  • Research and maintain lead generation database
  • Research, track, maintain and qualify leads
  • Assess and analyze prospective client needs/requirements and communicate to Business Development Manager assigned


Sales Management:

  • Support Team Lead, Business Development and VP, Business Development with development of key sales pitches for prospective clients
  • Participate in the preparation of sales presentations
  • Assist in the booking of meetings for annual conferences
  • Meet personal targets and help contribute to business development sales goal through qualifying leads



  • Work closely with the Manager, Proposal Development, Business Development Managers and Directors to ensure leads are generated with Alimentiv’s expertise in mind
  • Develop a collaborative working relationship with the Business Development Managers
  • Support clients in a professional manner always and ensure alignment with Alimentiv’s values


Product Knowledge:

  • Develop a strong knowledge of the company’s products and services to facilitate the sales process.
  • Understand how the benefits of working with Alimentiv can meet prospective client needs



Applicants should have a minimum of one to three years of related work experience as well as a post-secondary certificate/diploma in a relevant field of study. The successful candidate should also have previous B2B sales experience, excellent communication skills and telephone manner, a positive approach to objection handling. This candidate will be upbeat, energetic, and reliable with a hunger to succeed. They will be proficient in using a CRM and have advanced user ability with Excel and proficient with other MS Office tools.
