In support of a healthy campus to learn, live and work, Fanshawe College moved the majority of our Academic, Support and Administrative operations online to curb the spread of COVID-19.  Today, the majority of these services continue to be delivered remotely, however as public health guidelines allow for more in-person services, Fanshawe College has begun welcoming our community back for on-campus activities.  
 
As an employee of Fanshawe College you may be required to work on-campus, remotely, or a combination thereof.  Confirmation of your work location will be clarified with you upon hire, and may be subject to change based on the duties required of your position.

Note:  This is a full-time position (35 hours per week). 

Duties:  Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Learning Systems Services, the incumbent is responsible for the programming, analysis of needs, designing, building and configuring applications and integrations for the College’s Learning Management System. Provides systems expertise and support for vendor-acquired solutions and provides design, development and support for custom-developed solutions (i.e. databases). Provides support to the Educational Technologists in Learning Systems Services. 
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary 3-year diploma/degree in Computer Programmer/Analyst, Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ computer programming experience including at least 3 years’ experience leading projects 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience required in developing web-based systems using modern open source and Microsoft technologies including (ASP.NET, C#, .NET Core Valence, REST-based APIs) and LTI integrations
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Excellent understanding of databases and queries for efficiency and performance (SQL, MS SQL) 
  • Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Educational Technologies that are used in the teaching and learning process 
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholder 
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
