The successful incumbent will be an experienced project manager who has delivered projects within an Information Technology Services environment. Our department delivers solutions for our hospitals that incorporate all aspects of IT including: application and systems implementation; communication and network integration; security and infrastructure; and data collaboration and integration. You will lead all aspects of the project lifecycle from evaluation and design through to implementation and close-out. Previous experience working in healthcare and with patient record systems would be an asset. As an experienced project manager, you are able to lead and support hospital projects using best practice and principles. Equally as important, your communication skills allow you to establish and cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organization. Demonstrating these skills establish the conditions for effective engagement to support the implementation of key strategic priorities.

Temporary Full-Time

Rate of Pay:             $40.27 per hour - $50.34 per hour

Hours of Work:         37.5 hours per week

Duration:                  1 year from Start Date

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree (Honors) in Health/Business Administration, Computer Science, or as accepted by the hospital
  • Masters Degree in Health/Business Administration, Computer Science or health related discipline preferred
  • Certification from the Project Management Institute preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Process Redesign (Yellow/Green Belt) preferred
  • Minimum three years previous related project management experience including multi-site projects
  • Previous related project management experience related to Cerner Millenium and Hospital Information Systems would be an asset
  • Demonstrated skills in budget management and change management
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation and risk management
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills
  • Advanced problem solving, decision-making, planning and evaluation skills
  • Advanced resource planning and performance measurement
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple and competing priorities on a daily basis
  • Thorough knowledge of local and regional health care systems
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • ?Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis. 
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
