Program Director - ZappyRide Electric Vehicles

The Role:

Partner with existing customers and new clients as they come on-board to understand their needs and ensure smooth delivery of their chosen ZappyRide solution set. Most importantly, you should endeavor to be seen as a trusted advisor as they navigate the changing EV landscape. Through this you will help customers define their EV strategy, ensure they stay up to date on the latest ZappyRide offerings and manage the day-to-day business affairs with client’s commercial teams.

You will assist the Account Executive with maintaining client relationships and support project delivery and customer service needs. Acts as the single point of client contact to coordinate project deliverables and resolution of service issues. You will collaborate with sales and support groups to demonstrate the value of the ZappyRide suite of services to clients and identify opportunities for expanding the relationship.


Responsibilities

Your Day-To-Day:

Spend Time With Your Clients (~50% of your time)
  • Attend regular interval/cadence meeting with clients to provide advice and ensure we retain the highest standards of customer satisfaction
  • We spend a lot of time proactively with our clients. We believe this helps us understand and anticipate their needs. This allows us to provide guidance around new solution sets and offerings from ZappyRide that helps them solve their strategic problems in the EV space through data and software.
  • Engage clients, prospects, end-users, subject matter experts, and our leadership team to identify and crisply define product opportunities in the EV market
  • Ensure client satisfaction via clear communications, expectation-setting and responsiveness. We want our clients to feel heard, appreciated and like we are their partner - not a vendor.
  • Share thought-leadership pieces authored by ZappyRide or trusted sources that demonstrate that we understand what is important to our clients
  • Take initiative in identifying opportunities for additional client work and proposing it in a way that feels natural, cooperative and not like a sales pitch
Product Delivery & Development (~40% of your time):
  • Product Delivery
    • Supervise product delivery through design, build, launch and maintenance phases
    • Advocate for client requests and telegraph needs to product management and engineering/design team leads
    • Own end-to-end delivery of solutions for customers, using platforms like JIRA to collaborate with our product managers and software developers to deliver scope on time and on budget
    • Manage client communications to set appropriate expectations (i.e. delivery date) at all levels up to Executive level. This includes scenarios where workflow and processes may or may not be previously defined.
  • Customer Support
    • Assist clients with technical requests and ensure resolution of issues - following up with the client and making sure the appropriate ZappyRide team members are executing on the agreed upon solution
    • Responds to customer inquiries to introduce service functionality and integration, onboarding requirements, and expectation setting.
    • Investigate, diagnose, research, correct, and/or redirect discrepancies from clients, company contacts such as field teams, other support teams and functional teams
    • Troubleshooting company and client systems, assessing and preliminary diagnosis of reported issues. facilitating escalations when necessary
  • Product Development Assistance
    • Advocate on behalf of the end-users of the products as our team continually builds out our product roadmap and vision
    • Perform quality assurance / quality control when vetting new releases or features
Business/Commercial (~10%)
  • Execute contract renewals, change orders and scope of work expansions for add-on business
  • Interface with our Business Management function to ensure invoicing and records are accurately kept up to date
  • Maintain and groom a robust and accurate pipeline of new opportunities within our existing client portfolio for cash flow and revenue projections

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:
  • Has ~5-10 years of experience in b2b client management or business development
  • Comes from the automotive, utility, cleantech or software industries
  • Experience managing web and API based products,
  • Is well-versed in the software development lifecycle and the associated tools, especially JIRA and Confluence
  • Demonstrable successful client work delivery (E.g., where you product managed or oversaw a project from conception to completion
  • Has some experience leading small teams, including matrix management
  • Values high quality of work and attention to detail
  • Has ambition to "make a dent" in the auto/clean energy industry and is interested in investing time to constantly improve as a professional
  • Has a passion for the electric vehicle industry and can speak to how and why this is important
