What We’re Looking For

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Marketing Project Manager with a proven track record of executing, monitoring and optimizing a variety of digital projects.

The Senior Marketing Project Manager is accountable for ensuring client accounts are managed efficiently and produce outcomes that contribute to Northern's overarching business goals. Extensive knowledge of project management principles and digital marketing across a variety of platforms will best support the incumbent in their role. The Senior Marketing Project Manager is also responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our portfolio of clients, as well as providing mentorship and coaching to fellow team members.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, recommend and lead the execution of marketing campaigns for assigned clients and manage the effective deployment of their marketing budget.
  • Act as the main client contact for project delivery, influencing the client to make clear, quick and concise project decisions.
  • Develop, maintain and refine an achievable project schedule for marketing campaigns such as paid media, SEO, email marketing, etc.
  • Lead and execute all project tactics in collaboration with the Account Manager.
  • Contribute to building and delivering project status updates and performance reports to existing clients.
  • Provide clear communication between client and marketing teams.
  • Provide clients with innovative short and long term strategic marketing & technical guidance.
  • Offer various or alternative solutions to client requests to meet their business objectives.
  • Ensure that the project team produces all client work with the highest level of quality, on time, and on budget.
  • Leverage project management tools effectively to ensure communication is flowing amongst all team members (internal and external).
  • Lead project team members, agency resources and project workflow process.
  • Develop a positive and partnering relationship with all clients.
  • Help to create time and value estimates for additional work with existing clients.
  • Assist the Account Manager with influencing clients and handling disagreements.
  • Assist the Account Manager with decisions regarding project prioritization by offering informed recommendations.
  • Provide advice, feedback, mentorship and support to fellow PMO members.

Knowledge, Education & Experience Required

  • 8+ years' of relevant experience in the project management and/or marketing industry.
  • Undergraduate University Degree or College Diploma in a related field (eg. Business, Marketing, etc.)
  • Experience with program management or working within an agency setting is considered an asset.
  • Qualification in Project Management - PMP® Certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience in account management related to digital marketing.
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in supervisory roles and leadership.
  • Proven ability to apply creativity, innovation and resourcefulness to daily work.
  • Understanding of various Digital Marketing tactics (eg. SEO, PPC, Social, Email, etc.).
  • Knowledge of business concepts (eg. Sales funnels, ROI, Seasonality, etc.).
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and work strategically, tactically, and operationally, independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiating, consensus building, time management, conflict resolution, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines and adapt to growth and change.
  • High degree of professionalism with outstanding ability to work effectively and efficiently with internal colleagues and external clients at all levels of management.
  • Detailed knowledge of Word, Excel, and various Google applications.
  • Strong understanding of project management strategies as they relate to digital strategies.
