Job Description
We are seeking a versatile and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this role is a perfect fit for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a blend of strategic compliance, systems management, and employee-facing support. As a cornerstone of our HR and Recruitment team, you will ensure a seamless experience for our employees throughout their entire journey with us.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Onboarding & Integration: Initiate and manage the end-to-end onboarding, including leading our Orientation programs, ensuring every new hire feels welcomed and equipped for success from Day 1.
- Performance: Own probationary review process, partnering with managers to ensure clear communication and timely feedback for new team members.
- Compliance: Stay current on Policy & Legislation updates, ensuring our internal policies remain compliant and up to date with all legislative requirements.
- Immigration: Manage Immigration documentation and provide support for employees immigrating or going through the work permit process in Canada.
- Consultant: Lead the process for contractor/consultant renewals, ensuring all agreements are updated, compliant, and tracked accurately.
- Offboarding: Oversee the offboarding process, ensuring departing employees are supported, exit interviews performed and all administrative requirements are handled with care.
- HRIS & Administration: Serve as the primary administrator for our HRIS, maintaining data integrity, providing technical assistance to staff, and optimizing system workflows. Complete administrative tasks such as letters of employment, organizational charts.
- Payroll: Review the HRIS system for accuracy each pay period in coordination with the payroll department.
- Recruitment Support: Assist with hiring workflows, including posting job descriptions, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews to help grow Digital Extremes.
- Provide essential coverage for the Front Office/Reception desk during periods of vacation, or vacation to ensure a seamless experience for visitors and staff.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3+ years in a HR Generalist role.
- Advanced proficiency in Google suite and Microsoft Office; specifically Excel for data, analytics & reporting
- Proven skill within HRIS platforms is a strong asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost integrity.
- Exceptional Typing Skills: Fast and accurate typing ability to manage high-volume documentation and live meeting notes.
- A methodical self-starter willing to jump into any project, pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines with minimal guidance.
- Possession of, or progress toward, a CHRP or CHRL designation is highly preferred.
- Experience working autonomously and owning projects from beginning to end..

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000
