Solutions Analyst Team Lead

Location: Remote Canada
Reports to Title: Director, Solutions Analyst


The Role:
The Solution Analyst Team Lead position is a split role that includes leading a team of SAs and performing the roles and responsibilities of the SA job description.

The SA Team Lead is responsible for the overall SA approach, practices, and deliverables for a group of Solutions Analysts that are allocated across multiple DU within the organization. The SA Team lead is accountable to one or more DUs for resourcing and escalation as well as coaching and mentoring their team.

The SA Team lead will apply a mature approach to communication, analytical, problem-solving and facilitation skills to help support their team and projects.

Responsibilities
  • Performs all the standard activities required for the SA role (individual contributor)
  • Manages a team of SAs and ensures repeatable and compliant deliverables i.e.: quality of the SA deliverables, leading peer reviews, ensuring processes are followed. Analyzes/verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, clarity, accuracy, feasibility, and conformity
  • Communicates effectively with DU leaders to identify needs and understand issues
  • Resolves and escalates issues in a timely fashion
  • Acts as the primary SA contact for the assigned DU(s) for resourcing, presales support, and escalations
  • Keeps Delivery Director(s) and DU leaders informed of changes, risks, or concerns as it related to SA deliverables, tasks, and processes
  • Ensures proper allocation of tasks across all SAs on their team. Consults with other SA Lead(s) and the SA Director on SA resourcing needs and issues across the organization
  • Participates in Intake and Resourcing activities for their assigned DU(s)
  • Contribute to improvements within the organization, team, and department processes and objectives
  • Active contributor to the recruiting and interview process to give assessments of technical competency and fit within a DU and department
  • Management of team members career growth, goals, progression, and performance assessments

Qualifications
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of information technology or computer science
  • 5+ years related work experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven leadership ability
  • Exceptionally self-motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to effectively execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Previous experience managing people
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and SDLC.
  • Experience with requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Good understanding of PC skills and hands-on experience in creating diagrams and presentations with the Microsoft suite of products
  • Working knowledge of a variety of programming languages including JAVA, .net, HTML an asset
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and able to exercise independent judgment, take action
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent active listening, interviewing, oral communication, documentation/writing, and diplomacy skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, establish priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with multidisciplinary teams
