Job Description:

 

3M is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst, located in London, ON at our manufacturing site. The successful candidate will make an impact by creating production and procurement schedules and identifying and leading cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive improvements in service, cost, and inventory.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Supply Chain tools, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and processes to make data-driven decisions to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory
  • Provide a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making
  • Publish and present service and inventory metrics and results
  • Analyze capacity to determine equipment loading and resources required
  • Work closely with the business unit to understand customer requirements and forecasts. 
  • Actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment target
  • Work closely with manufacturing to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining target inventory levels and lead times

 

To set you up for success in this role from Day 1, 3M requires (at minimum) the following qualifications

  • Completion of Post-secondary education
  • One (1) combined year of experience working with Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering and/or SAP

 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and/or Business
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing plant
  • 3M systems experience (Factory Planner, IMES, Peoplesoft, ERP / SAP) & BT knowledge
  • Experience utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence others and work effectively in a team environment

 

Travel: In this role, you may be required to travel approximately 5% of the time, which may involve overnight stays. A valid driver’s license is required.

 

Relocation: Not authorized
