IT Business Analyst - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
 

Description

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Operations team as an IT Business Analyst - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This role is critical to our success as it involves providing functional and system expertise to implement, improve, integrate, and enhance our mission-critical, enterprise-wide information systems, including our Enterprise Resource Planning system.

What you will be responsible for:

Ongoing Process and System Support:

  • Develop, document, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Enterprise Systems.
  • Update business processes, configuration and workflows in the systems as required.
  • Assist with issue prioritization and resolution for business users.

Business Requirement Elicitation and Fulfillment:

  • Elicit and define business requirements using pre-defined tools.
  • Conduct reviews with functional users to ensure cross-functional understanding and alignment.
  • Ensure clear documentation of business value.

Solution Implementation:

  • Collaborate with IT, third-party providers, and Business staff to recommend solutions for identified business requirements.
  • Provide standard system options where possible via configuration or functionality enablement.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical and functional staff to develop, implement and test.
  • Ensure requirements documentation can be easily translated into UAT/functional test plans.
  • Lead IT delivery discussions to enable and test solutions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve bugs identified during testing and system upgrades.
  • Lead business discussions to guide the rollout plan.

Strategy and Planning:

  • Analyze and apply business strategy and initiatives to all aspects of the role.
  • Identify, elicit, and document end-state cross-functional and functional business processes.
  • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternative solution options for improving processes across the organization.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience providing system expertise with an ERP System.
  • College Diploma or University Degree in a business function.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst role.
  • Ability to quickly develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders and business professionals at all levels.
  • Experience with a major system implementation and maintenance.
  • Experience with any or all of Finance, Customer Service, Sales, Supply Chain, Product and Warehousing functions.
  • Project leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with a questioning & creative approach to problem solving.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience with process mapping, data flow diagrams, and requirements documentation.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization, project, and time management skills.
  • Experience in data analysis and working with large volumes of data.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong business acumen.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
  • Agile certification
