Market Research Assistant

Title: Research Associate – P1

Location: Canada Only - Remote

Reports to: Research Manager

The Role: You will support the team on work related to our customer satisfaction survey research-based business. The primary duty of this research position will be coding verbatims on our flagship study. When time permits this role will also work with manager to conduct our syndicated research studies. This includes ensuring that survey content meets J.D. Power’s high standards, assisting with the development of sample design and ensuring the integrity of the data. This person will help ensure the quality of the syndicated studies and that they are produced in an efficient and timely manner.

The Impact: The Associate of Research will be an individual contributor in a team of over 20 Research analysts. You are expected to be a self-starter who can work well with other team members and departments. The verbatim coding has a tremendous impact on the overall rankings, and it is expected that these are accurate and consistent. Additionally, you and your team will ensure that J.D. Power studies are developed or redesigned to meet client needs in a timely manner and ensure that the production of the syndicated study is efficient and smooth.

Responsibilities
  • Verbatim Coding
  • Ensure that survey and sample plan designs meet J.D. Power standards with supervision
  • Develop and document sample plan specifications and survey artifacts with supervision
  • Work with survey programming and data processing specialists to ensure study designs are implemented as planned with supervision
  • Perform QA processes on survey data to ensure data validity
  • Perform QA processes on deliverables
     
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in market research and/or related fields a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Beginning to Intermediate use of SPSS (preferred but not required)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word)
