As a AWS CMS Developer you will be a part of the Consumer Experience Development team. The Consumer Experience Development team has full responsibility for our online presence, and that is a very big deal.
As a AWS CMS Developer you will:
- Collaborate with developers, designers and product managers on a daily basis.
- Architect, develop and maintain WordPress infrastructure within our AWS environment.
- Ensure high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS cloud infrastructure.
- Be detail-oriented and work quickly to meet deadlines.
- Use skills and expertise in AWS to help develop advanced cloud-based infrastructure management solutions and migrate existing workloads to the cloud.
- Understand the current application infrastructure and suggest changes to it.
- Help formulate an effective, responsive site design and turn it into a working theme.
- Utilize the CARFAX Style Guide and Pattern Library to align sites to product design standards.
- Experience building within an AWS environment and understanding of services like Elastic Beanstalk, API Gateway, EC2, Route 53, RDS and CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of security and performance best practices for cloud architectures
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines leveraging a tool such as Jenkins
- Knowledge of security and performance best practices for cloud architectures
- Experience with Terraform and Terragrunt
- Experience with the AWS Console, CLI and SDK
- Experience building high-scale websites with the WordPress CMS, including themes, child-themes, plug-in and add-on development
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites for desktop, mobile and tablet.
