Video Editor/Production Assistant
About The Role
Diply is a family of news and lifestyle channels that are dedicated to creating inspirational, engaging, and seriously shareable content. Boasting over 85 million followers across multiple platforms, our audience is committed, enthusiastic, and craving MORE! The Video Editor will work alongside our team of DIY Specialists and Video Producers to consistently deliver entertaining content to our viewers. To make this happen, they will flex their skills with the Adobe suite of editing software, prove their ability to adapt to existing editing parameters and push the boundaries for creative innovation. The successful candidate will deliver captivating content, bring recommendations forward to deliver on audience expectations, and track success through social analytics.

Your Role
-
Edit up to 5 original videos for social distribution and reformat up to 5 videos of existing content for additional platforms per week

Consistently deliver video edits in a timely manner with a close attention to detail

Take direction and suggestions to consistently improve videos and editing practices

Stay updated on release schedules and ensure you are consistently ahead of deadlines

Review and keep updated on video performance analytics on each platform (Snapchat, Facebook, and Instagram)

Proactively prepare editing ideas for weekly team meetings and implement strategies discussed

Assist on set during larger productions (set-up, lighting, monitoring audio, etc)

Collaborate and support other members of the video team

Your Qualifications
-
Graduated Visual Effects/Editing Program (or a related field of study)

1-2 years of experience

Must have hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects

Production experience is considered an asset (Lighting, mics, camera/tripod set-up)

Graphic design skills are considered an asset
