Description

 

Due to continued growth within our Research – Industry Practice, we are expanding our Team of talented Professionals. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in:

  • Leveraging their practical IT leader experience and knowledge in the following disciplines in the Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management or related industries, in terms of:
    • IT Strategy development and alignment to Business Strategy, with demonstrative experience in supporting analysis
    • Assessing, planning and adoption of key trends and their impact on IT services and evolution
    • Core technology – working knowledge of operational and information technology software and supporting technology in the industry and larger sector
    • IT Spend and Budget Management
    • Resource Management and Governance
    • Risk & Compliance
    • People and Leadership
    • Vendor Management
  • Driving and delivering value through the development world-class industry research, supporting and engaging a dedicated set of members via planned and ad hoc phone support, client-site workshops, and facilitating industry roundtables over the phone or in person.
  • Being active & engaged in the growth and development of colleagues within the practice
  • Providing valuable insight to the research agenda and growth of the advisory and consulting services provided to our members.

Areas of focus for this role includes:

  • Research.   As a subject matter expert, experience in writing and publishing research designed to provide our members with what they need to be successful IT professionals in their industries.
  • Utilization. Leverage developed research to assist members through the process of executing projects or process improvements through a structured Industry member program, working closely with Account Representatives, Executive Services Counselors and Advisors, either remotely (working through a series of structured calls) or onsite (in terms of facilitated sessions or working through structured 4-day workshops or custom consulting engagements).
  • Service Quality. Provide measurable value to our clients through the various services provided: research, calls, workshops, and consulting.
  • Account Renewal Rate. Work jointly with your team and the account managers to reengage customers with low service levels through targeted campaigns and outreach.  
  • Commercial Results. Identify opportunities to provide value to clients through workshops and consulting engagements and work with our commercial   teams to define the scope and project outcomes.  

 

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree required (business or technology preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and facilitation experience: client-facing workshops, training sessions, and consulting engagements.
  • Strong   relationship building and management skills. Experience gaining and maintaining trusted advisor status with senior management and C-level executives.               
  • Minimum 10 years (Director-level or equivalent) leadership experience working in an IT role as a practitioner or consultant or analyst with experience in mid to large IT organization in the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Goods Transportation/Distribution and other related industries
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring and collaborating
  • Certifications in an IT or project management related topic e.g. PMP, COBIT 5, ITIL an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in any of:
    • IT Strategy, Budget Management, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Service Management, People and Leadership and Vendor Management a definite asset.
  • Deep hands-on experience in an industry sector and other industry sector(s), including but not limited to:
    • Manufacturing
    • Supply Chain
    • Goods Transportation and Distribution

Required Skills

  • Expert understanding of the key management processes within an IT department or service provider in the Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Goods Transportation/Distribution
  • Strong client advisory and service delivery skills; the ability to lead clients   through complex projects, build relationships and establish reputation as a   trusted advisor, and lead clients through structured working sessions.
  • Apply   primary and secondary research, along with superior analytical and written   communication skills, to lead the team in producing high-quality, published   research for our members.
  • Superior oral, analytical and written   communication skills, with the ability to present to members in various forums and conferences.
  • Must be flexible and have ability to travel (25-50%) to deliver workshops onsite at client locations both within and outside of North America (post COVID).  Must be eligible to obtain TN Visa for work with US clients. Must be available for after-hours call booking twice per month for two hours each time.
