Job Description

Info-Tech is seeking an individual contributor who will work with the already established Bids team, in support of the sales teams, managing partners, and executive advisors/counselors to increase sales within the technology research and advisory industry.  This role will also work closely with the Bids team to leverage applicable contracting vehicles as well as government specific strategy(ies) to get in front of bid opportunities for our subscription services as well as consulting engagements.  The role will focus on relationship building with key accounts through value proposition, experience, and expertise. Info-Tech has doubled in size (revenue and employee count) since January of 2020.  That growth has illuminated the need for a bids specialist to further expand our effectiveness in the industry with a focus on market penetration and share.

Info-Tech requires an individual who is a quick learner, self-starter, enthusiastic, and proactive. This role requires advanced time management skills, task and project prioritization capabilities, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills both verbal and written, is discerning and meticulous with great attention to detail.

Our team is in search of a candidate who is experienced, comfortable, and can excel working both independently and within a team dynamic. We are looking for someone who can achieve success in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. We require an individual who can take initiative, while simultaneously, is able to timely and accurately follow directions.

The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education (e.g., bachelor’s degree), a minimum of two years of relevant experience working with public sector proposals (RFPs) and bid writing, and experience in the U.S Federal Government will be preferred. A combination of education and work experience may satisfy this requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and supporting our government contract development for both IT Research & Advisory, and IT focused Consulting Opportunities.
  • Working with our public sector requests for proposals and contracts
  • Monitoring and procuring business using online procurement and contract sites, such as GSA eBuy.
  • Managing and strategically using public web portals to search for opportunities, and current contracting information.
  • Working with and managing large Federal Government entities (members/ clients) to secure new business as well as maintain current business.
  • Collaborate and maximize partnerships with our Managing Partners (MP’s), Consultants, Sales teams, management, and within the Bids and Contracts team itself.
  • Updating marketing and sales collateral representative of Info-Tech’s products and services for contracts as well as templates for re-use within bid proposals, as well as overall sales pursuits.
  • Supporting sales, Managing Partners and consultants with specific strategies to increase sales and reduce lag time in sales cycles.
  • Managing government contract database and contract updates within our systems.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Quickly learn and understand Info-Tech contracts.
  • Assist with transition between RFP acceptance and contract execution.
  • Answer internal commercial team questions regarding standing government contract vehicles.
  • Become an expert and facilitator of government contract vehicles in partnership with our commercial teams.
  • Share your understanding of the bid, proposal, and contract review for processes and documents related to government sales, contracts, vendors of record, and bid responses, etc.

  • Thrive in a paperless environment. Must be adept in learning new technology and proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • SalesForce experience is a plus; if not, the willingness to learn how to use this CRM.
  • Must be willing to independently learn, research, and problem solve.

Mandatory Requirements:
